(1) Material
Latex gloves are also called rubber gloves. Latex is a natural material derived from rubber tree sap. Natural latex is a biosynthetic product. Due to differences in tree species, geology, climate and other related conditions, its composition and colloidal structure will often show huge difference. In the fresh latex without adding any substance, the rubber hydrocarbon only accounts for 20%-40% of the total amount, and the rest is a small amount of non-rubber components and water.
Non-rubber components include protein, lipids, sugars, and non-organic components. Some of them form a composite structure with rubber particles, and some are dissolved in whey or form non-rubber particles. Nitrile, mainly synthesized from acrylonitrile and butadiene, is a kind of rubber which is a key raw material for organic synthesis and pharmaceutical intermediates.
(2) Characteristics
Nitrile gloves: relatively hard material with poor elasticity, good abrasion resistance, acid and alkali resistance (some nitrile gloves can not prevent acetone and strong alcohol), anti-static, and will not cause skin allergies. The nitrile gloves use is suitable for people who are prone to allergies and they can wear them for a long time.
Latex gloves: Compared with nitrile gloves, the toughness and abrasion resistance are slightly inferior, but the elasticity is better. The abrasion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and grease resistance are slightly worse than that of nitrile, and the anti-acid and alkali property is slightly better than that of nitrile, but they are not suitable for allergic skin and long-term wear.
