Surgical gown is special clothing required for doctors to wear during surgical operations. The materials used need to have protective properties and be able to block viruses and bacteria from attacking medical staff. In addition to the requirements of sterility, dust-free and disinfection resistance, it also requires bacteria isolation, antibacterial property and comfort.
Traditional surgical gowning is made of cotton, which is resistant to disinfection and washing, and are antistatic, tear resistant and comfort, but lacks the vital antibacterial property.
Today's surgical supplies are made of non-woven fabrics, such as surgical gowns, surgical drapes, surgical curtains, surgical gown caps and a series of other medical supplies.
(1) Wear traditional sterile surgical gown: After washing, disinfecting and drying your hands, the surgical staff should take the sterile surgical gown out of the openedwrap with sterile surgical gowning, grasp the two corners of the collar with both hands, face the surgical gowning inside, look for a spacious place to shake it fully, look at the sleeve entrance, throw it upwards gently, and quickly reach into the sleeves with both hands. It also needs the staff to raise both arms forward and straight, let the nurse help to tighten the belt behind, stretch out the cuffs with both hands, let the nurse further tighten the collar and back straps, cross both hands, lift the belt and let the nurse take the belt behind back and help to tighten it.
(2) Wear cover back type sterile surgical gown: The dressing method of cover back type sterile surgical gowning is basically the same as above, but when the surgical staff puts on the surgical gowning and wears aseptic gloves, the nurse passes the belt to him or her to tie it up himself or herself, and the back part of the cover back type surgical gowning covers the staff's back so that there is no bacteria there.
After putting on surgical gowning, put your hands halfway before your chest and avoid touching people or things around you. Do not place your hands under your armpits, raise your hands over your shoulders, or sag below your waist.
When one operation is completed and the other operation is to be performed afterwards, the nurse helps to untie the belt behind your back and grabs the collar of the surgical gown around the front, then you take off the clothes forward. The surgical staff put the glove on the wrist, the right finger grabs the folded part of the left glove and takes it off, and the left finger grabs the inner surface of the right glove and takes it off. The surgical staff are sprayed with disinfectant and put on the surgical gown again.
